Graphic Shades
Fabrics marked with this symbol are compatible with Graphic Shades digital printing. Please note that fabric colour may interfere with the printed colours, so white fabrics are preferred. It is possible to print on dark fabric by first printing a layer of opaque white first, but this is a more involved process and often increases the cost.
Railroading
This symbol indicates that the fabric can be railroaded (turned 90 degrees), which is often required for very wide shades. Rotating the fabric 90 degrees (railroading) is one way to cover wider widths, but not all fabrics behave properly in this situation. Any fabric bearing the mark has been tested and deemed suitable for this type of usage.
Ultrasonic Cutting
Fabrics bearing this icon require ultrasonic cutting to prevent the edges from fraying.
Flexible Cutting
Fabrics bearing this icon are safe to be cut using any method.
Anti-Microbial Certified
Fabrics bearing this mark are certified to have been treated with antimicrobial agents to prevent microbial growth and to kill microorganisms, over an 18-24 hour period.
Flame Retardant
There are many organisations that provide flame retardant certifications for textiles, any fabric that displays this symbol meets or exceeds the requirements for one or more of these certifications.
Green Air Certification
Most manufactured materials release gas for a period after their production. Any fabrics marked with this icon have met the standards of one or more air quality certification that ensures that the amount of off-gassing is minimised.
